Privacy Policy for UnicornDev AI Chrome Extensions

UnicornDev AI ("we", "us") operates a suite of Chrome extensions that use artificial intelligence to help you write, summarize, and prepare content. This privacy policy explains what we collect, what we do with it, and what we don't do with it.

What We Collect

• Google account email — used to identify your account and enforce free-tier limits. Obtained via Chrome's built-in Google sign-in flow (chrome.identity).
• Daily usage counts — how many times you've used each extension today.
• Device fingerprint hash — a one-way SHA-256 hash of stable browser attributes (user agent, language, screen size, timezone). Not personally identifiable; used for fraud prevention.
• Payment status — whether you have an active paid subscription. We store only a boolean "paid: true/false" flag.

What We DO NOT Collect

• The content of your emails, messages, or pages — we send the text you select to our server for processing, generate a response, and return it. We do not store, log, or index this content.
• Your browsing history — we have no access to pages you visit unless you explicitly trigger the extension.
• Personal files, passwords, or credentials.
• Data for ad targeting. We do not sell, trade, or share data with advertisers.
• Data for AI training. The text you send is not used to train any AI model.

How Your Data Is Processed

1. The extension captures the selected text (or extracted page text).
2. That text is sent over HTTPS to our Cloudflare Worker backend at api.unicorndevai.net.
3. The Worker validates your Google token, checks your usage limit, and forwards the text to the Anthropic Claude API for generation.
4. Claude returns a response.
5. We return the response to your extension and increment your daily usage counter.
6. The text content is not retained after the response is returned.

Third-Party Services

• Google OAuth — identity verification
• Anthropic — AI text generation
• Cloudflare — server infrastructure
• ExtensionPay / Stripe — payment processing

Data Retention

• Account email and usage counts: retained while your account is active.
• Device fingerprint hashes: retained while your account is active, up to 5 most recent.
• Content you submit for processing: not retained at any time.

Your Rights

• Request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing privacy@unicorndevai.net.
• Export the data we hold about you by emailing the same address.
• Revoke Google OAuth access via Google Account Permissions.
• Uninstall the extensions at any time — this immediately stops all data collection.

California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact privacy@unicorndevai.net.

GDPR (European Users)

If you are in the EU or UK, you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@unicorndevai.net.

Children's Privacy

Our extensions are not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the extension popup. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
